Terms of Use

Effective October 26, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to The Clock Widget website and related services provided by Kintsugi LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to enter into these terms under applicable law, or use the service with the authorization of a parent or guardian where required. Questions and notices can be sent to hello@theclockwidget.com.

App-store licenses

The license for an app downloaded from Apple's App Store is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, unless a separate custom license is expressly supplied with that download. This page supplements the website and service terms; it is not a replacement custom App Store license. Apps downloaded from Google Play are also subject to the applicable Google Play terms and usage rules. These terms do not override mandatory store rules or statutory consumer rights.

Using The Clock Widget

The Clock Widget displays a world clock, compares time zones, provides appearance choices and home screen widgets, and helps you plan and manage events through supported device calendars. Subject to applicable store licenses and these terms, you may use the website and services for your personal or internal business purposes. We retain rights in our software, artwork, branding, and designs; you receive permission to use the service, not ownership of those materials.

You must not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation or security, bypass paid-access controls, distribute malicious code, impersonate us, or redistribute our proprietary designs as your own product. These restrictions do not limit rights granted by law or the licenses of open-source software and third-party materials identified in Credits & Licenses.

Calendars and information you enter

You control the cities, labels, calendar connections, event details, exports, and changes you choose. You retain your rights in that information. We do not claim a license to publish or sell your calendar contents. You are responsible for having permission to access or change calendars and for verifying a destination before saving or sharing an event.

Editing or deleting calendar events can affect information synchronized by your calendar provider. Confirm titles, dates, time zones, recurrence choices, and any resulting notifications in your calendar app. Disconnecting a calendar or uninstalling The Clock Widget does not reverse previously saved changes or remove exported files.

Accuracy and availability

The clock relies on your device's date, time, time-zone information, system services, and geographic data. Time-zone rules can change, and geographic records or overlap checks can be incomplete. Calendar overlap checks are based on available event times and do not guarantee another person's availability. Widgets refresh according to operating-system scheduling and may show delayed information.

Check important meeting times and saved events independently. The service is not an alarm, emergency, medical, aviation, or other safety-critical timing system. Access to the hosted interface requires a working connection. We may maintain, update, or change the service, and third-party operating-system or calendar changes can affect features. Any rights attached to a purchase remain subject to its disclosed terms and applicable law.

Paid features, if offered

Any paid design, pack, or subscription will show its price, included access, duration, and any renewal terms before purchase. App-store purchases are processed by the store, subject to its payment and refund rules and applicable consumer law. We do not receive full payment-card information from a store purchase.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at purchase, access is associated with the store account used to buy it and does not automatically transfer between Apple, Google, Microsoft, or the website. Use the app's restore option where available. A subscription, if offered, renews only under the terms disclosed at checkout and must be managed through the store that sold it. Refunded or reversed purchases may no longer provide access. We will update our Privacy Policy before introducing purchase services that change how personal information is processed.

Privacy and other services

Our Privacy Policy explains local storage, optional calendar access, hosting, website analytics, and your choices. You can turn off website analytics from the Privacy Policy without losing clock features. Operating systems, app stores, calendar providers, hosting providers, and websites you visit through external links have their own terms and policies. We do not control their services or guarantee their continued availability.

Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and services are provided as available, without promises that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. We do not exclude any warranty, remedy, or consumer guarantee that the law does not allow us to exclude.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kintsugi LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses caused by inaccurate device settings, delayed widget refreshes, connectivity failures, or third-party calendar actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot lawfully be limited, death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Ending use and resolving concerns

You can stop using the website or uninstall the app at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach, or a security threat. Any license termination for an App Store download is governed by the applicable app license. This does not remove rights you have under consumer law or entitle us to use information contrary to our Privacy Policy.

If something goes wrong, contact hello@theclockwidget.com so we can try to resolve it. Nothing in these terms requires arbitration, prevents you from contacting a regulator, or removes access to courts and remedies available under applicable law. Mandatory laws and jurisdiction protections that apply where you live continue to apply.

Updates and interpretation

We may revise these terms as the service changes and will update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the website or app where appropriate. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive our right to enforce it later.
